Mani Rimdu Festival is one of the popular festivals in Everest region. Celebrated at Tengboche, Thame and Chiwang Monasteries of Solukhumbu, Everest region in Nepal. This is a sacred ceremonies and series of events of empowerment. It is a sequence of nineteen days celebration, which concludes with three days public festival. Sherpa get time to gather and celebrate this festival with monastic community. Lamas and Sherpa gather at the monastery for five days for the welfare of the world. Demons are quelled and the virtuous are rewarded. The monks wear elaborate mask, costumes’ and through a series ritualistic Lama dances, dramatize the triumph of Buddhism over Bon, The main first days of festival involves prayers, second day for colorful lama dancing, they wear brocade gown and wonderfully painted papier-Mache masks. Last day is for some humorous dances and chanting prayers. Hundreds of local people and foreign tourist attend the performance. This trek rewards you to see the real and ideal culture of Sherpa people and great Himalayan panorama of Everest Himalayan range. Note: The date of the Mani Rimdu festival is fixed according to the Tibetan Lunar calendar. The head lama at the Tyangboche Monastery announces the dates.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: After breakfast, Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing in the UNESCO World Heritage sites as Swayambhunath (Monkey temple), Boudhanath, Pashupatinath and Basantapur durbar square and transfer to hotel.
Day 03: Fly to Lukla 2860m from Kathmandu and trek to Phakding 2610m
Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar 3440m, through beautiful valley along Dudhkosi River.
Day 05: Rest and acclimatization day at Namche. Explore surroundings.
Day 06: Trek toTengboche 3860m
Day 07: Explore Tengboche Monastry, Full day we will watch the famous mask dance performed by monks in front of Tengboche Monastery,(First day)
Day 08: Explore Tengboche Monastry, Full day we will watch the famous mask dance performed by monks in front of Tengboche Monastery,(2nd day)
Day 09: Full day we will watch the famous mask dance performed by monks in front of Tengboche Monastery, (3rd and last day)
Day 10: Trek back to Namche bazaar 3440m.
Day 11: Trek to Lukla 2860m
Day 12: Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. (Relax, Shopping and free day)
Day 13: Transfer to the airport and see you off for safe journey back to home. Note: If you have enough time and you are interested, you can continue to Everest base camp/Kalapather 5545m trek, after the Mani rimdu festival. (It depends on your holiday time to Nepal)
