Island Peak Climbing 6189m is very popular Trekking Peak in Nepal, located at (Khumbu Region) Everest Region at Chhukung Valley in Sagarmatha National Park. Island Peak is seen as an island in a sea of ice. Island Peak Summit 6189m is interesting and attractive with a highly glaciated west face rising from the Lhotse Glacier. The mountain itself is the extension of the South Ridge of Lhotse Shar separated by a small col. Island Peak Climbing ridge rising to the south from this point leads to the summit of Island Peak. The most difficult section is a mixed rock and ice wall at a slope around 45 degrees leading to the narrow summit ridge. The magnificent views from the summit, however, are certainly a fitting reward for your efforts. Before Climbing Island Peak, we trek up the Dudh Kosi valley from Lukla, passing through Namche Bazaar and Tengboche Monastery on our way to Kala Pattar 5545m, and Everest Base Camp trekking trail. we follow the different valley from Dingboche village to Chhukung valley. Island Peak Climbing Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu transfer to hotel.
Day 2: Stay in Kathmandu for the official procedure and sightseeing in Pashupatinath,Boudhanath,Swoyambhunath(Monkey temple),Budhanilkantha(Vishnu temple) and Kathmandu durbare squre.
Day 3: Flight Lukla 2850m.trek to Phakding 2652m.
Day 4: Trek to Namche bazaar 3456.
Day 5: Rest Namche for acclimatization. Visit Syangboche to see the Panoramic views of Mt.Everest, Lhotse, Aamadablam,Thamserku and many other peak.
Day 6: Trek to Tenboche monastery 3865m.
Day 7: Trek to Dinboche 4410m.
Day 8: Trek to Labuche 4930m.
Day 9: Trek to Gorekshep 5190m. Afternoon visit Everest Base Camp (it depends your condition)
Day 10: Climb Kalapather 5545m.trek back to Labuche 4930m.
Day 11: Trek to Chhukung 4730m.
Day 12: Trek to Island Base Camp 4970m.
Day 13: Trek to High camp 5700m.
Day 14: Climb to Island Peak summit 6189m trek back to Base camp/Chhukung 4730m.
Day 15: Trek to Tengboche 3865m.
Day 16: Trek to Namche bazaar 3456m.
Day 17: Trek toPhakding 2652m.
Day 18: Trek to Lukla 2850m.
Day 19: Fly back to Kathmandu transfer to hotel.
Day 20: After breakfast,sightseein to Bhaktapur and Patan durbar squre. Note:- Island peak climbing + Everest base camp trekking trip can be organized combined with lodge+ camping (tented camp). You have to stay at lodge while on trek and in tent while climbing.
